Dunlop SP Street Response Car Tyres
Dunlop tyres was founded by John Boyd in 1888 after inventing a pneumatic tyre. The first success for Dunlop was for bike tyres when Willie Hume won four races on his bike. By 1902 Dunlop had won the prestigious Paris to Vienna race. With many other accolades over the years Dunlop has become a premium tyre manufacturer, although Dunlop do not make cheap tyres, the technology and research are worth the money.
SP Street Response are designed for dry tyre performance and optimum fuel economy. Asymmetric tread design which helps disperse the water and increases traction for cornering to give you pure driving pleasure. Flatter tread profile, this simple technology ensures more of the tyre is contact with the road, with up to 8% more of the tyre than a standard tyre. Multi Radius tread design allows for a more precise driving and a smoother transition from cornering to straight roads. Variable land to sea technology – whilst we appreciate that you are not going to drive in the sea, this technology allows better resistance from dry to wet roads. Maximum flange shield temperature range is a band of additional rubber that is in the lower section of the side wall. This helps avoid damaging those expensive alloy wheels. Finally the Jointless Belt Technology (JLB). The joint in a normal tyre can deform at high speed, causing wheel vibration and a lack of stability. This new technology practically eradicates this issue.
