Bridgestone Tyres Expanding In The UK
Bridgestone UK has announced several new appointments at its consumer and commercial tyre operations in the United Kingdom. The new structure is part of a bid to strengthen its sales and marketing team over here. Certain roles will be extended from the UK into Ireland – Brett Emerson and Greg Ward will be doing this from their current roles as the UK consumer sales director and commercial sales director respectively. They will be well supported in their extended roles by Jackie Wherity (the Ireland consumer sales manager) for Brett Emerson and Frank White (Ireland commercial sales manager) for Greg Ward.
Brett Emerson will be working together with the consumer sales and marketing division with the aim of putting into place the appropriate sales strategies for both the Bridgestone and Firestone brands, covering car, van and 4×4 tyres. Greg Ward’s role will be similar but on the truck, retread, agricultural and off road tyre side of the business.
Tim Lee will be changing roles from the position of key account executive to consumer marketing manager for the North Region, while Andy Mathias moves from his role has national fleet executive to the UK TBR product and marketing manager, and will be reporting to Roger Moulding who is the commercial product manager. They will be both be focusing on marketing Bridgestone products to the respective customer bases.
This strengthening and expansion reflects Bridgestone’s current strategy of focusing more closely on specific regions throughout Northern Europe.
