Malaysian F1
The Malaysian Grand prix was certainly an exciting race, with lots of activity throughout the race. Having watched the qualifying race on Saturday it looked like it would be a dead cert with both the McLaren drivers starting at the front of the grid. Lewis Hamilton was on pole position for the second race and looking at a great start to the F1 season. Jenson Button was also looking good having won last week from starting second on the grid. However on Sunday the weather had turned making the teams take some tough decisions on their tyre choices.
The race started well for both the McLaren drivers and Lewis retained his pole position. However this did not last and Lewis finished the race on the podium and achieved a respectable third position. Sebastian Vettle had a tough time when his Pirelli tyre picked up a puncture and he had to limp his car around to the pits for new tyres. Despite this bad fortune he still finished the race in sixth. The real surprise was the race winner Fernando Alonso. Ferrari looked like they had designed a lemon and even Alonso had his doubts about the car after the first race. It is amazing to see such a change of fortunes between races. This season looks to be one of the most exciting that we have seen and we are only on the second race. More of the same please.
