Dunlop has been the supplier to the British Historic Rally championship for the last four years, but as they have now decided to move to a more open choice, tyres will also be supplied by Pirelli, Kumho and Dmack in 2013. The championship organisers have taken this move now since there are more tyre manufacturers who can supply tyres to fit historic cars where previously it was very limited.

For those of you who don’t know, the British Historic Rally Championship features historic rally machinery dating from the 1950s to the 1980s, and includes events on both gravel and asphalt across the country.

Pirelli have previously supplied Pirelli tyres to the FIA World Rally Championship and the MSA British Rally Championship while Dmack started to supply tyres alongside Michelin tyres to the FIA’s World Rally Championship in 2011.
